Series of 4 Chairs by Pietro Arosio for Airon 1980

Made in italy chairs with high, curved backs. Iron structure painted black. Curved wooden hull. Perforated metal seat h118: seat 46cm X l55 X d83 born in lissone (mi) in 1946, pietro arosio trained professionally in the research center of a company specializing in the production of metal furniture for collective spaces. From this experience is born a conceptual philosophy which has developed over the years, through his activity as an industrial designer started in 1972 and already rewarded; recognized by the award of the casaviva d'oro prize in 1983. The essential lines, the search for new materials and technologies, the attention to details and to the engineering phases, are fundamental elements of his work. Pietro arosio does not neglect the emotional aspect of the product, including through collaboration with internationally renowned artists such as nespolo, del pezzo, hsiao chin, tilson, rotella, keizo. Some of his work has been exhibited at the victoria & albert museum in london and at the die sammlung museum of modern art in munich.
