Sculptural Danish pendant lamp, model Butterfly designed by Lars Schiøler and produced by Hoyrup in the 1970s. The lamp is made up of a large number of identical, folded plastic elements arranged around the light source. This modular construction creates the characteristic spherical shape, with the individual parts overlapping like leaves or wings. The design changes significantly when the lamp is switched on. The warm light is filtered through the different layers and highlights the geometric pattern, creating a special play of light, shadow, and depth. Despite the complex construction, the lamp has a light and almost floating appearance due to the white material and open structure. A typical example of experimental Scandinavian lighting from the 1970s, using simple materials to create a pronounced three-dimensional form. The lamp is in very neat vintage condition. The plastic elements are complete and show no significant damage. Dimensions are as follows: height 34 cm, diameter 45 cm.
