Set of 2 rustic French chairs with rush seats

These elegant French chairs probably date from the first half of the 20th century. The dark wooden frame combines function with understated beauty: the curved backrest and slender legs give the chairs a rustic elegance. The rush seat is comfortable and carries traces of its history in every fibre. Simple, honest chairs with a lovely silhouette and the warm contrast of dark wood and natural rush. A lovely pair for the dining table, in the kitchen or as an accent in a rustic, French or wabi-sabi interior. Good condition, with signs of use consistent with age.
