1950 blue opaline booster table

A 1950s side table in beech and mahogany, the tray is made of royal blue opaline, more than 1 cm thick. Very nice work of ebeniste, the construction of the pietement is quite complex, the reinforcement bar between the feet to a section in diamond. The mahogany strip is a recent restoration. The blue opaline gives a lot of character, the association with light wood and mahogany is very interesting, tables with opaline trays are very rare, it is an expensive material, only a few designer have allowed its use in furnishings. The clearer areas in the opaline are manufacturing peculiarities. There are small stripes of use on the tray (visible in the last photo taken against the light). It is a rare and very elegant table. It is stable and in good condition.
