Coffee table T.L.1, published by Airborne in 1953, signed F. Lasbleiz — attribution confirmed by Meubles et Décors (1954), which presents him as "a young architect who is as passionate about interior design issues as he is about his own profession." His first name remains unknown to this day, as the Airborne archives were partially dispersed between 1975 and 2010. The piece is now preserved in the collections of the Mobilier National. This is the rare version with an oak top — the majority of known examples are made of glass. Its base, made of black lacquered metal tubes, features a characteristic overlapping cross, directly derived from the structural language of the FL1 armchair — the other major piece of the Airborne programme signed by Lasbleiz, presented in the same 1954 editorial. The brass fittings are original. The Airborne stamp is affixed under the top. Also known as Jasmin or AO in its later reissues, the TL1 is part of the lineage of French modernism of the reconstruction: minimal design, assertive structure, total economy of means. The oak top has been fully revarnished. The base has been cleaned and waxed, without repainting — the marks of time are preserved. The brass fittings are original.
