Authentic small vintage stoneware vase from Basque art, handcrafted and decorated at the René Gaïtaud factory in Hendaye (mid-20th century). This very pretty baluster-shaped piece features a rotating decoration inspired by regional and bucolic themes: a seated shepherdess watching over her sheep in the heart of the hills, facing a traditional Basque house (Etxe) and haystacks. A work of great finesse with its characteristic outlined contours. Ideal for adding a folk, artisanal, and authentic touch to your interior decor (on a sideboard, a shelf, or in a curiosity cabinet), or to complement a collection of neo-Basque ceramics (in the spirit of Ciboure productions). The piece is stamped under the base: "Grès d'Art Basque Déposé - Gaïtaud R. Hendaye" and signed "Gaït" in the decoration. Dimensions: • Height: 12 cm Condition: Excellent vintage preservation. The ceramic shows no chips, cracks, or hairline fractures. The colors and graphics are perfectly preserved. Careful shipping and highly secure packaging (bubbles and double cardboard) to ensure safe transport.
