Magnificent set of 6 dessert plates in Gien earthenware, produced in a special edition for the famous Éditions Julliard. These rare pieces were intended for literary dinners organised by René Julliard in the 1950s and 60s. They feature the facsimile signatures of the intellectual elite of the time. In this series of 6 plates (numbered on the reverse), you can find the signatures of: • Françoise Sagan. • Jean d'Ormesson. • Ernest Mandel. • Yolande de Lacretelle… Overall, they are in beautiful vintage condition. Please note some minimal "nicks" on the edges of certain plates and signs of use consistent with their age (see detailed photos).
