Antique two-seater Louis XV bench

This late 19th-century Louis XV style two-seater settee is distinguished by its low line, curved legs, and carved wooden frame. Its patterned fabric in powdery tones contrasts with the wood's patina. Materials: carved solid oak, damask fabric upholstery, brass nails. Features: the curved "gendarme hat" backrest of this settee extends into a comfortable seat. The armrests are padded. The shaped frame is carved with shells and floral motifs. It rests on five curved legs finished with scrolls, two of which are in the centre. The damask fabric with floral patterns, in peach and cream tones, is stretched and secured with brass nails. Condition: solid and stable on its feet. Comfortable. The fabric is clean and in very good condition. A small stain, visible in the photo, should be noted on the right leg's descent. Dimensions: L119 x D60 x H87. Seat height: 38.
