Impressive ovoid openwork lamp base, made of glazed ceramic, in shades of beige, brown, and satin-finished fiery brown, smooth, mimicking the appearance of rock or volcanic textures (Fat Lava), topped with a neck featuring egg shell-colored glazes. SOLD WITHOUT SHADE. In the style of French ceramist Georges Pelletier and Italian-Canadian ceramist Raphaƫl Giarrusso, both of whom collaborated in the 1950s. This type of lamp was very characteristic of Mid-Century style productions (1950s-1960s) from the Accolay pottery in Burgundy. However, this lamp could be more accurately dated to the 1960s-1970s, a period when Georges Pelletier began collaborating with the Roche and Bobois house. However, WE CANNOT ATTRIBUTE IT. Condition: In very good condition, without defects, accidents, or chips. The lamp is in perfect working order. It operates with 1 small screw E27 bulb (provided). The electrical system has been checked and is in perfect working condition.
