Large Community Library in solid chestnut – 1940

Large chestnut bookcase composed of two elements. It opens at the top with four doors, each made of two panes of glass with a molded surround. These doors are separated by fluted carved wooden uprights and have round metal entrances with a key and functional lock. Upon opening, we discover three adjustable shelves on racks. The whole is topped with a molded cornice. The lower body, deeper and less high, has a similar structure but is equipped with solid doors. These open onto a shelf. This very spacious piece of furniture rests on a molded plinth. ******** period: 1940 excellent condition after restoration in our workshop.
