Vase with Three Rotating Handles - Flemish Pottery

Period: c. 1910 – 1930 A medium-sized vase with a sun-yellow central part featuring greenish drips; this area displays three large stylised tree motifs. The neck is dark blue and the base is red. There are three rounded handles. Stylistically, this falls between Art Nouveau and Art Deco. This is what is called Flemish pottery. Several centres of this type of earthenware were active in parallel in Belgium, and it is difficult to attribute the pieces as they were rarely marked. This vase is probably from Kortrijk or Thourout. Dimensions: 24 cm in height, 16 cm in diameter, 1.1 kg Condition: Very good.
