Antique English soup tureen on pedestal – Model "Clovis" – Late 19th century

Beautiful antique soup tureen in fine earthenware from an English manufacturer, late 19th century. “Clovis” model, neo-Greek decoration inspired by Etruscan design in sepia brown (transferware), with continuous geometric friezes on the body and foot. Moulded side handles imitating bamboo, very decorative. Marks on the reverse: Model name CLOVIS Moulded mark Rd (Registered Design) Mould number.
