An emblematic object of Mediterranean regions, particularly in the south of France and especially in Spain (botijo in Spanish), the gargoulette is a terracotta jug that was very useful to farmers. It was used to store water and, above all, to keep it nice and cool for hours! On either side of the handle for transport, there is a filling neck and a narrow spout that pours the water in a thin stream, allowing one to "drink to the delight, " meaning without bringing the container to the mouth. Large model in very good condition.
