Historicist chair in ebonised and gilded wood

Historicist-style chair made of ebonised wood, featuring carved and gilded decoration and floral silk upholstery. It has a high backrest with an architectural composition, topped with a carved and gilded female face inspired by classical design. The structure includes turned columns, ornamental finials, pierced elements, and turned legs. The seat and backrest are upholstered in silk with floral motifs. It is part of a set of 9 pieces, consisting of six chairs, two armchairs, and a three-seater canapé. The other pieces are available separately. According to family tradition, the set is said to be related to the circle of Alfonso XIII. There is no documentation to substantiate this provenance, so it is noted only as family history. It shows signs of use and wear associated with the passage of time, visible in the photographs. Dimensions of each chair: 45 cm wide × 50 cm deep × 115 cm high. Seat height: approx. 46 cm.
