Rouen earthenware egg display service

Superb and rare display / egg set in earthenware rouen nineteenth. Composed of a support and 6 shells, it is complete. It does not bear a stamp but the old earthenware of rouen is perfectly recognizable. Delightful blue decoration made with stencil on a white earthenware. The support with a handle also made of earthenware is intact. Only a small ginning is visible on the edge of a hole allowing a cockerel to slip (see photo). The cockerpillars, all original, are in excellent condition. There is a tiny chip under the foot of a cockerel and a surface crack inside a cockerel without affecting its strength (see photos) No trace of restoration. The whole is clean and in a very good state of conservation. The earthenware is beautiful and shiny without blemish. Height: 15 cm. Width: 21 cm. Depth: 14 cm. Height of a cockerel: 4.5 cm.
