Evoking the scent of old-world kitchens, these eight antique earthenware plates come to us from the iconic st amand factory in northern france. Their floral decoration, both generous and delicately stylized, blends deep pink with superb shades of blue and green, framed by colorful lines that elegantly emphasize their shape. Each piece is marked on the reverse with the st amand – made in france stamp, surmounted by a crown and accompanied by the model number 4122. This version of the stamp is typical of the first half of the 20th century, probably from the 1930s-1950s. The patina of time and the slight crackle of the glaze add to their authentic charm. Perfect for setting a chic country table, or bringing a colorful and vintage touch to your everyday tableware, these plates seduce with their naive and vibrant floral pattern, in a spirit close to certain productions from sarreguemines or digoin. Also suitable for wall decoration, mix & match with other floral pieces for a refined flea market atmosphere. Beautiful general vintage condition - wear of time: glaze cracks, some micro chips, micro scratches from use. Dimensions: 24 cms in diameter a very beautiful series for lovers of old tableware with bucolic and colorful accents.
