Pair of CH28 "Sawbuck" lounge chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1951 and produced by Carl Hansen & Søn, Denmark. Widely regarded as one of the most sculptural and innovative designs of Elegner, the CH28 combines elegant craftsmanship with a distinctive architectural form. This is an early example dating from the 1950s-1960s. The chairs feature a solid beech frame paired with beautifully shaped seat and back panels in darker teak veneer, creating a lovely contrast between the warm tones of the wood. The CH28 is a famous example of Wegner's ability to combine traditional cabinet-making techniques with the principles of modern design. Its refined silhouette and organic lines allow it to stand out in both a living room and a reading nook or office. This pair of lounge chairs complements many interior styles, including Vintage, Antique, Classic, Scandinavian, Modern, or Art Deco decor.
