This freestanding desk was produced in Denmark in the 1960s and is an excellent example of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern design. The model is distinguished by its elegant, lightweight form and functional drawer layout, characteristic of Danish furniture from the period. The desk is made from teak and mahogany with natural wood grain. It features six spacious drawers arranged in two pedestal units on either side of the writing surface. The drawer fronts are fitted with characteristic, subtly sculpted handles that emphasize the clean, minimalist design. The upper drawers are lockable, and the key is included. The piece has undergone a comprehensive professional restoration. The wooden surfaces were stripped of the old finish, stained in a rosewood tone, and refinished with a high-quality semi-matt lacquer that enhances the depth of the wood grain while providing durable protection. Thanks to its freestanding construction, the desk is beautifully finished on all sides and can be placed either against a wall or in the centre of a room.
