Sculpture "Venus of Rhodes" in white glazed ceramic, produced by the Icaro Rodi factory in the 1930s. The female figure, depicted nude and crouching while arranging her long wavy hair, is modelled with elegance and naturalism, highlighting the softness of the forms and the purity of the lines. The glossy white glaze intensifies the brilliance of the piece, while the intimate and compact pose recalls classical models reinterpreted through a refined Art Deco style prism. The Industria Ceramiche Artistiche Rodio Orientali (ICARO) was founded in 1928 in Rhodes, under Italian protectorate, drawing inspiration from Greek and Turkish ceramic traditions while blending them with modern European taste. A piece of great charm and historical significance, in very good overall condition. Dimensions: length 20 cm – depth 13 cm – height 34 cm.
