Pair of Harry Bertoia Chairs for Knoll (Vintage Design, Steel)

Icon of modernist design: a superb pair of "Wire" chairs designed by Harry Bertoia for Knoll International. A highly sculptural set, sold with its 2 original seat cushions (one blue and one red). The Knoll signature present under these pads proves the undeniable authenticity of these seats. ■ VINTAGE CONDITION AND PATINA Premium Selection: From a batch of 4 chairs, we have isolated here the two examples in the best condition (the oxidation is very light). However, this is an old pair with a highly sought-after authentic patina: Manufacture: Structure made of steel wires assembled by brass welding, originally painted black. Patina: The wear of time has caused the black paint to chip at friction points, revealing beautiful golden details (the brass from the welds). A few minute traces of natural oxidation of the steel remain, affirming their raw character. Perfectly solid and usable on a daily basis. ■ DIMENSIONS H 74 cm X W 52 cm X D 42 cm.
