This unique original piece, cut and sewn together, captures the essence of wine production in a delightful ambiance where lords and peasants coexist. Elevate your space with the artistry and history of this Robert-Four alteration design made from a copy of a Cluny Museum masterpiece. PRESENTATION OF THE THEME Wine was an extremely important beverage in the Middle Ages: people drank more wine than water because the latter was unreliable and carried disease. The vine is therefore a very present element in the landscape and is found both in the countryside and in the city. Everyone gathers in September and October to harvest and press the grapes. In fact, it is almost always a scene of harvesting or crushing that was chosen in the Middle Ages to illustrate the month of October in calendars, the pruning of the vine representing the month of March.
