Amazing 20th century French tapestry, in style of Aubusson tapestries, with a design of a medieval museum tapestry called « La Dance» (The Danse) and beautiful colours, hand printed on cotton sérigraphie techique. The original is in Museum of Louvre, Paris. This tapestry is part of a series of three pieces, commonly called The Noble Pastoral Tapestry: "pastoral" because it describes various activities of shepherds and shepherdesses, and "noble" because it mainly depicts young lords and nobles ladies who play shepherds. These "sheepfolds" were very fashionable at the end of the Middle Ages throughout Europe. Design Period: Before 1890. Production Period: 1960 to 1969. Country of Manufacture: France.
