Safi Morocco ceramic vase

Charming terracotta vase glazed in beautiful autumnal colors: pale yellow, green and brown, with an original shape with 3 handles and a wavy corolla opening. On the enamelling, in a slight hollow, floral motifs adorn the decoration, as well as the words “safi”. It is an astonishing piece in several respects: the mention safi which is generally found written underneath, and not hollow in the material on the body of the pottery as is the case here. The decoration (glazing in drips and colored spots, hollow floral motifs) is quite different from the safi pottery that we are used to seeing. Its shape is also original, even if we find this wavy collar on some safi vases. Perhaps an artist from a safi workshop who wanted to stand out, to innovate. If you know more, i'm interested! So, it's difficult to date it, given the good condition of the enamelling from the 70s perhaps. In any case, it is a pretty vase, in good condition, just a small chip on the top rim, which is perhaps even a small lack of original enamelling. It measures 18 cm in height, approximately 11 cm in maximum diameter, the opening measures 10 cm in diameter.
