Nevers earthenware dish decorated with a Chinese pagoda, 18th century

A round earthenware dish with a scalloped rim, decorated in the center with a scene depicting a Chinese pagoda in a wooded landscape, surrounded by circular lines and friezes. The rim is adorned with a stylized vegetal garland highlighted in yellow, green, and manganese. Typical of 18th-century Nivernais production, influenced by the Orientalist aesthetic then in vogue. Some minor chips are visible on the rim.
