Walnut Armchair Louis XIII Style Period 19th Century

Superb lion armchair, in Louis XIII style walnut. 19th century period. This magnificent, richly carved and molded armchair is decorated with a leopard patterned fabric with an upholstery nail finish. Its wide, straight backrest topped with two small lions has a molded, openwork wooden belt carved with 8 small balusters. Its vibrant armrests are sculpted with lion heads. Supported by consoles carved in the form of balusters. It rests on a baluster base, turned joined by an h-shaped spacer. Perfect stability. It has a very comfortable seat. Seat height: 47 cm. Note small missing on the edge of a rear baluster (see photo). Beautifully made and high quality furniture.
