Vintage pendant light - doria leuchten - space age germany - 1960s beautiful and very spectacular orange and white metal pendant light. Iconic piece of 1960s design. Composed of 3 pointed concentric metal rings on a metal structure. A real hanging sculpture when off and which offers a magical light when on. In good condition with minimal signs of use. No deformation to note however some oxidation points which, to my taste, give it an authentic patina. Fully functional. Doria leuchten was a lighting and mirror manufacturer, founded in 1945 by walter donnerl. The company was known by several names over the years, including doria-studio, doria leuchten or doria werke. In the 1960s and 1970s, the company mainly produced glass lamps made of cast and pressed tubes and plates that were then arranged on metal frames, but also, as here, several models made entirely of sheet metal. From 1961 until its closure, the company received more than 30 awards for its designs, including the if design award.
