Exceptional baroque-style Iberian console in solid walnut, typical of Spanish production from the 17th-18th centuries. This type of furniture, traditional in Castilian and Andalusian homes, originally served as a presentation table or "mesa de refresco". Features: — Solid walnut top, beautiful dark honey patina acquired over time. — Three front drawers adorned with hand-carved floral rosettes, sun/flower motif characteristic of Spanish baroque. — Period wrought iron fittings (ring handles) — Four turned baluster legs connected by a wrought iron stretcher in an X shape with flattened sphere ends – a signature of Hispanic style. Condition: very satisfactory for the age of the piece. Natural patina, sound wood, original fittings in place. Some wear and usage marks that attest to the authenticity of the piece. Ideal piece for an entrance, sideboard, or characterful living room. Fits well in both contemporary interiors and in a Provençal or Mediterranean manor house.
