Superb and rare Spanish walnut console from the 17th century, Renaissance period. A table featuring a very beautiful lyre-shaped base typical of 17th-century Catalan tables. This table can serve as a desk or a large console, having been crafted on both sides. It can therefore be placed in the middle of a room if necessary. It is shallower than typical Spanish tables (60cm), allowing it to be used as a console, which is uncommon as they are often deeper. It has three drawers in the apron, with very fine moulding work on the drawers and original locks. The table boasts a stunning walnut top with a beautiful thickness of 4 cm, which is rare, and is made from a single piece of walnut, with forged iron stretchers typical of Catalan tables. It has a beautiful patina and is in superb condition.
