This bookcase is part of a set measuring exactly 10 metres wide. It is a unique piece. This sale concerns only the listed item. These mid-19th century bookcases are handcrafted by a master craftsman. Each piece of wood has been hand-cut. These bookcases are historically significant, with the originals located at the Samuel Pepys Library at Magdalene College, University of Oxford, as well as at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The piece offers ample storage space. It has been restored, including deep cleaning, waxing, and hand polishing. The shelves and glass appear to be original. New keys will be made before shipping.
