Art Deco hairdresser from the 1930s – Oak, marble, triptych mirror

Art Deco dressing table from the 1930s made of solid oak with pronounced grain, featuring the characteristic wide and stocky silhouette of the era with slightly rounded angles. The top is made of grey marble veined with black and white, framed by a sculpted wooden gallery in the shape of an accolade. The upper part is topped with a triptych mirror with bevelled edges, mounted on hinges with gold metal. The two side doors are adorned with floral relief sculptures – large flowers with round petals and leafy stems – and fitted with chrome latch handles with a typically Art Deco design. The four central drawers have matching oval chrome handles. The piece shows wear consistent with its age: slight oxidation of the metal elements, natural patina of the wood and marble. The back is made of unfinished raw plywood, a common practice for furniture from this period. An authentic and functional piece, ideal for a vintage interior or an Art Deco collection.
