4 monoxyle armchairs in elm, vintage, 1960s

Rare set of four monoxyle armchairs in solid elm from the 1960s. Each seat is sculpted into a massive shape with raw, organic lines, featuring a hollowed seat and an enveloping backrest that naturally extends into the armrests. The work on the elm reveals pronounced grain, natural and irregular reliefs, and beautiful brown hues, making each armchair slightly different from the others. The set retains an almost primitive appearance, straddling rustic furniture and sculpture, which has a lot of character. Price for the set.
