Vintage bamboo and rattan coat rack in mid-century style by Olaf von Bohr, made in Italy in the 1950s. Olaf von Bohr is an Austrian designer born in Salzburg in 1927. After learning carpentry and furniture making at school in Munich, he moved to Milan in 1953 and worked in Gio Ponti's office. Olaf von Bohr then established his own studio in 1960, collaborating with Sergio Asti and Franco Albini. His coat rack presented at Kartell in 1975 was chosen as part of the permanent collection of MoMA. His Isis chair presented at Kartell was awarded Chair of the Year at an international furniture competition in 1997. Very good vintage condition. Dimensions: Width: 75 cm, Height: 36 cm, Depth: 15 cm.
