Antique corner unit with shelf

Corner unit from the late 19th century. Original shelf. Lock and key functional. This piece of furniture is made of pitch pine, a wood commonly used during this period. It has a very bright colour. The entire piece has been sanded and treated against insects as a precaution. Its finish is in clear wax. Please note that the foot at the back of the unit had a few holes that have been filled. This is not visible at all from the front. The same goes for the small repair on the left side of the shelf. The interior has also been sanded; the greyish marks are not dirt but rather markings in the wood. Solid and stable furniture.
