GALLIA Christofle cup and saucer with floral garland

This elegant cup holder and its saucer are made of silver-plated metal by the firm Gallia. It dates from the early 20th century. An ornament of leafy scrolls and garlands adorns the cup and saucer. Stamped Gallia, this set was produced by the Christofle silversmith (the horseman stamp is present). The Gallia brand was created by Christofle at the turn of the 20th century: until 1937, its rooster-shaped stamp is represented in a cartouche labelled "Orfèvrerie Gallia". The cup holder measures 4.8 cm X 11 cm, the inner diameter is 7.8 cm, and the saucer measures 14 cm. In generally good condition, I note signs of use and oxidation.
