Footed pewter champagne cooler on claw feet with floral relief

A beautiful vintage Portuguese solid pewter champagne cooler by A.M. Vieira, crafted from 95% pure pewter (Estanho Puro 95%). Made in the form of an elegant footed jardinière, it features a softly scalloped rim with beautifully detailed floral relief that runs around the entire bowl. Raised on four decorative claw feet, it has a timeless European look that feels equally at home on a dining table, bar cart or sideboard. Originally designed to chill a single bottle of champagne or wine, it also makes a lovely planter, floral centrepiece or decorative bowl when not in use. This is a wonderfully heavy, quality-made piece with a soft silver-grey finish that only pewter develops over time. The embossed flowers, flowing curves and decorative feet give it a refined classical style without being overdone. It shows gentle signs of age with light surface scratches and some wear inside from previous use, exactly as you would expect from an authentic vintage piece. Overall it presents beautifully.
