Hanging armchair in wrought iron and ecru fabric, François Liguori
Unique suspended armchair by Studio Pescatore, created by the French artist and designer François Liguori. Halfway between furniture and sculpture, this armchair stands out with its airy architecture made of curved metal with a dark brown patina. The metal rods create large sinuous curves that intersect at the base, forming an enveloping, very airy structure resting on a circular base. The soft seat in ecru canvas is suspended on either side of the structure using metal eyelets and natural rope ties. It extends upwards to form a generous backrest, simply draped over a metal crossbar. The combination of patinated metal and natural textile creates a particularly successful contrast of materials. This armchair with an organic design evokes both the world of hammocks, artisanal furniture, and contemporary sculptural design. Its expressive silhouette allows it to find its place in a living room, a veranda, a garden, or an eclectic interior, as a true statement piece. About the designer: François Liguori is a French artist and designer based in Sète, in the Hérault region. Since the late 1980s, he has been developing work around metal with Studio Pescatore, creating lighting and furniture pieces with free and sculptural forms. Very good overall condition. The ecru canvas is original and perfectly preserved. The metal structure and other elements are also original. Only the small cords used to suspend the seat have been replaced.
