This dining table was designed for the Les Arcs ski station project by Charlotte Perriand in France in the 1960s. Rare dimensions of 90x100cm. The table combines a solid pine top with a black lacquered metal base, reflecting the functional and architectural aesthetic associated with the interiors of Les Arcs developed by Perriand and her collaborators. Charlotte Perriand played a central role in redefining post-war French modernism through her work combining natural materials, modular construction, and utilitarian elegance. The furniture developed for Les Arcs remains among the most recognisable expressions of her late modern design language. The wooden top has been carefully restored while retaining its natural vintage patina and the visible grain of the wood. The metal base is in its original condition and finish with consistent signs of use reflecting its age. One of the feet is adjustable to stabilise the table. A timeless and highly versatile example of French alpine modernism.
