Mid-Century Teak Coffee Table, Denmark, 1960s

This coffee table was manufactured in the 1960s by the Danish manufacturer Sorensen & Christiansen in Randers. It's made of teak. Beneath the tabletop are two drawers, each of which can be opened from either side. The tabletop has contoured solid edges. The drawers are finished with elegant, contoured handles. The entire piece has undergone a comprehensive renovation: the wood has been cleaned, painted with oak stain, and finished with a strong, semi-matte varnish.
