Large ceramic jug signed "Bassano Italy"

Made in Italy, it adopts a neo-baroque or rococo style silhouette. The ceramics of Bassano del Grappa are world-renowned for their decorative exuberance. The object is distinguished by its handles overloaded with complex leafy scrolls and its fluted structure. The bulging base is adorned with a hand-painted floral medallion, notably featuring multicoloured pansies. The brown reliefs provide a contrast of shaded patina that highlights the sculptural forms of the handle and neck. No chips. Very clean. Pretty floral decoration. 40 cm in height, 25 cm in width.
