Superb Art Deco Barbotine Planter - Orchies France (Model 605 Dragon) Magnificent and authentic barbotine planter from the famous French manufacturer Orchies. A piece from the Art Deco period (circa 1920-1930), this planter is distinguished by its superb raspberry/burgundy color and its rich relief decoration. It features two finely crafted medallions representing a stylized dragon (or chimera), surrounded by foliage motifs. It is signed under the base with the Orchies pottery mill hallmark and bears the model number 605. This collector's item is a magnificent example of French ceramic know-how from the interwar period. Very decorative, it will be perfect for a large indoor plant or as an art object in its own right.
