Pair of crystal vases by Paul Kedelv for Flygsfors Coquille

Pair of Coquille vases, designed by Paul Kedelv and made by the Flygsfors glassworks in Sweden. One of the vases is signed "Flygsfors Coquille". The larger vase has a small chip, visible in the photos. Dimensions: Large vase - Height 33 cm, Width 25 cm, Depth 10 cm; Small vase - Height 25 cm, Width 11.5 cm, Depth 9 cm. In 1949, Paul Kedelv joined Flygsfors and created some of the company's most popular and iconic art glass collections. In 1952, he designed the Coquille collection, inspired by seashells, characterised by organic shapes and layers of transparent and opaque coloured glass. The Coquille collection became Flygsfors' most renowned and beloved line, produced until the early 1960s.
