Side tables by Max Sauze, 1970s.

These side tables were made by Max Sauze. Born in Algiers in 1933, he undertook a course at the Beaux Arts there, graduating in 1956. He later joined the École Camondo in Paris. He is particularly renowned for his collections of aluminum lighting fixtures made in his workshop as well as his wire furniture published by Group, Forum and Isocèle. This series is no longer published today. The structure is cubic in shape, entirely made of chromed metal, the sides have diagonal bars forming triangles. The top is made of smoked glass. In good condition, wear consistent with age and use.
