Ceramic shell wall sconces

Pair of vintage wall sconces in ceramic, typical of French artisanal production from the 1950s. Uncommon model. The main structure of the sconce takes the shape of a stylised shell with a brilliant and deep emerald green glaze. This colour was highly sought after to enliven interiors. In the centre, the beige part imitates an old candle with wax drips and serves to conceal the electrical socket intended to hold a bulb. Condition: The sconces are extremely well preserved (minimal chips on the edge of the candle holder). Details in the photo. Dimensions: Height: 21.8cm. Widest point: 15cm. Depth: 9cm.
