Adeline hugonnard is a french painter born in saint-etienne (loire) in 1906, and died in chauffailles (saône-et-loire) in 1987. Biography considered a regional artist, adeline hugonnard has devoted a large part of her works to floral motifs. Student of the school of fine arts of saint-etienne, she exhibited at the age of 19, in 1925, five paintings at the salon of the society of arts of forez (chrysanthemums, dahlias, cloves, roses and queen-daisies). Among the works of the salon, there are also paintings by antoine barbier, lyon master of watercolor. In 1926, the city of saint-etienne bought a still life, flowers and fruits. It will be the first work in a long series acquired by the people of saint-etienne (institutional and private collections). She will not stop painting and exhibits regularly in regional salons: saint-etienne, lyon (salon d'automne), roanne. She painted some oval canvases until the thirties. His watercolors are rarer.  As soon as she was born in 1906, she was diagnosed with a malformation of the larynx that made her deaf and dumb. This handicap undoubtedly hindered his artistic career and his artistic rating. When her father died in 1940, she lived alone with her mother. She will enter the retirement home of chauffailles after the death of this one and the management sets up a corner workshop. Adeline will continue to paint flowers, on many supports (lining of her coat, mops, etc.). At her death without issue, she donated her studio fund to the city of chauffailles.
