Library / buffet furniture in Art Nouveau style made of mahogany and marquetry – circa 1900. An important and original piece from the Art Nouveau period, around 1900, made of mahogany wood, adorned with delicate marquetry decorations. Architecturally composed, it features a slightly protruding central body framed by two tall side elements. The central part opens with a large door and a drawer at the waist. It is topped with a large rectangular mirror, framed by small reflective side panels. Each side part is adorned with a large oval medallion, highlighted by a dark frame, and opens with a door at the bottom. The decoration is particularly interesting with several polychrome wood marquetry medallions featuring fruit and foliage motifs. The large central door is decorated with a significant composition representing a basket of fruits. The upper part is rhythmically designed with an openwork gallery featuring geometric patterns and punctuated by supports ending in spherical knobs, giving the whole piece a silhouette characteristic of Belle Époque furniture. Handles, lock entries, and fittings in gilded brass. A decorative piece with beautiful proportions, suitable for use as a buffet, dining room furniture, or display cabinet. Visible signs of use in the photographs, with some traces and marks related to its age. Period: circa 1900 – Art Nouveau / Belle Époque. Dimensions: height 174 cm × width 193 cm × depth 50 cm.
