2 Tripod Stools of a Shepherd, of a Cowherd, Early 20th Century

Two old and authentic tripod shepherd stools, originating from the Pyrenees, early 20th century. Beautiful walnut seats, in a "bowl" shape. Elm legs, very flared, ensuring perfect stability. The legs are joined by dowels just below the seat to maintain its height. Very nice patina from use. Old traces of wood-boring insects (perfectly eradicated!) on what was the sapwood of the seat. Very stable, these two stools easily support the weight of an adult. Perfect as side tables, bedside tables, or in front of the fire... Heights = 32 and 33.5 cm, seat diameters = 35 and 36 cm, floor space = 50 x 50 cm. Weight of both = 6.250 kg.
