Original Berger Perriand stools

Charlotte PERRIAND (1903-1999) Tripod stools, model "Berger" (also known as Méribel) - c. 1953. (low version) Stools made of solid pine. The concave circular seat rests on three tapered, inclined legs, joined by visible through-tenons on the top. Originally designed in 1953 for the development of the Méribel resort, these iconic models reinterpret alpine vernacular furniture. Their minimalist and functional design highlights the raw structure and characteristic joinery of Charlotte Perriand's work. Both pieces feature a deep hue and a beautiful patina of use that accentuates the grain of the pine.
