This parisian-made piece of furniture opens at the waist with a large amboyna burl drawer highlighted by a grooved rod and a rosewood strip. This drawer is fitted with an original lock with a rear key and an applied entry motif decorated with foliage. The speckled maple interior is compartmentalized and has drawer units to protect against accidental falls. The lower part has a double door in amboyna veneer, with central panels, also highlighted by a band of rosewood, molded baguettes and rosettes. This opening is equipped with an original top and bottom lock, functional, with key and entry. The interior offers three english-style drawers in speckled maple with rosewood front. The plinth also conceals a final drawer. The uprights are represented by turned, ringed and fluted columns with acanthus leaf motifs. Carrara marble is semi-recessed and protruding. The frame, the marble flooring and the back are in oak. We will appreciate the choice of wood and the nicely crafted columns of this decorative and very functional piece of furniture. ******** period: 2nd part 19th excellent condition.
