Antique soup tureen made of Creil and Montereau ironstone, Alexandra model, polychrome.

Very beautiful antique soup tureen made of ironstone from the Creil and Montereau pottery, model Alexandra, with its lid. Magnificent polychrome decoration featuring delicate floral motifs in lovely shades of pink, blue, green, and brown, accompanied by ornamental friezes. A charming piece, with its elegantly crafted handles and lid with a knob. A very beautiful antique piece, ideal for charming decor or to complete a collection of ironstone tableware. It shows a lovely patina of time, some cracks in the glaze, a few small stains and signs of use. Note: there is a chip on the inner rim of the tureen, where the lid rests. The lid does not sit perfectly on the tureen and has a slight misalignment, as visible in the photos. Height with lid: 18 cm Height without lid: 12 cm Diameter: 21 cm Weight: 1.7 kg
