Rare and authentic Wakouwa Vintage, Giraffe model, 1950s

Rare vintage Wakouwa "Giraffe" model, from the 1950s. Hand-painted and varnished wood, cords, and leather ears. Invented by the Swiss Walther Kourt Walss (1889-1969) in 1932, this articulated wooden toy takes its name from the first syllables of its creator's name: Wa-Kou-Wa. In excellent condition and functional, this toy bears the Wakouwa brand on the base and on the back, below the push button. The brand was distributed in many countries under different names... The last photo shows an advertisement from Le Bon Marché in Paris from the 1950s... Height = 22.5 cm; width X depth = 7 X 7 cm. Weight = 107 grams; very careful shipping extra.
